As You Like It by DiCarlos has handmade jewelry, cards, and artwork.  I love her jewelry - very feminine and pretty with a unique edge.  The pearls are gorgeous!!! They'd look fabulous for an evening out or any special occasion. A perfect gift for a special lady.
You'll also find her acrylic and mixed media artwork and original handmade prints.  The cut paper cards are really sweet and versatile. They could be used for a variety of occasions and the blank inside allows you to customize your own message.  If you are Christmas shopping, this is the place to start!

We had a new employee outing today - horseback riding through the hills. What a beautiful sunny day for a ride!  After riding for awhile, we stopped on the hilltop for a b-b-que and lunch. This gave us time to visit and catch up with everyone! The horses are so handsome and well-trained.  They were quite accommodating to our large group.

Stop by Etsy to check out these awesome gifts for your favorite horse fan.

Parque de Las Rosas

What a gem this little park is!  It is located in Lo Barnechea - a suburban area on the outskirts of Santiago.  There are so many varieties of beautiful roses.  There are little wagons similar to the stagecoaches of the old West that appear to be little shops that sell handicrafts and food. They were closed while we were there. Other than a couple of gardeners watering the plants, we were the only people visiting. I hope you enjoy the photos.

This treasury of lovely rose related items from Etsy was inspired by my trip to the Parque De Las Rosas this morning. The roses are so beautiful - all colors and different varieties!  Stop by, leave a comment, and visit these awesome shops.

BESTeam Feature: You Are My Sunshine!

You Are My Sunshine is packed with lovely handmade flower brooches, fabric flower hair pins, rings, earrings, bracelets, cuffs as well as some items for your home! Many of Nina's accessories would be perfect for a wedding or bridal party. You can’t help but feel this designer’s love for vintage in her newly created items.

Her little poker chip pendants are so unique – and would definitely make a statement!  These pendants have vintage dictionary pictures such as hinges, an albatross, microscopes, opera glasses, anatomical human eye, human ear, and acorns. These are just a few examples.
She incorporates recycled and reclaimed fabrics as well as vintage and new components.

This shop has a special place in my heart!  “You Are My Sunshine” is the song my grandmother used to sing to me hundreds of years ago.
If you love vintage – don’t miss Nina’s second shop at esty, mysunshine vintage.

You can also find You Are My Sunshine here:

Tibetan Inspiration

My new Tibetan Collection of jewelry was inspired by my trip to this remote mountain area. All of the beads, medallions, Buddhas, and prayer wheels were purchased at the local markets.  The Tibetan women carry  the brass medallions with them all the time. These medallions have the animals of the zodiac and symbolize protection for the wearer's loved ones.  The women pin the medallions to the blankets in which they carry the babies on their backs.  They are also pinned them to their clothing.  The little white and brown beads which are used as prayer beads were purchased in Shigatze - they are bone with little bits of red and turquoise inlaid. The medallions and beads were found in the market in Lhasa.
Here's a sneak peek of my newest pieces. They'll be uploaded on Etsy soon.
