Cayenne, Cherries, and Watermelon! Besteam Feature

This weeks theme is RED in cayenne, cherries, and watermelon! I love this vibrant color and found some awesome red items in these three Etsy shops; Beader Bubbe, Joy Flower, and Empty on the Inside.

I am officially on vacation and need to get ready for the holidays! I spent sometime this afternoon decorating our house - the inspiration for this weeks theme - Holiday Decorating - decorating your house or decorate yourself for the festive season. Over at Redemption Art you'll find some vintage items to decorate your rooms!

These vintage candle sticks would look festive with red candles!  And this vintage candy dish is too sweet!  It could also serve as a little cookie dish for Santa's treat!

December & Turquoise

Since December is my birth month I thought a feature on Turquoise was appropriate. Turquoise has been around since ancient times.  Long ago it was considered a symbol of wealth. Turquoise provides the wearer with strength, gives protection from harm, and is a connection to the spirit world. It is a stone of friendship. If you give a turquoise to a friend, it will bring her good fortune.

December's Turquoise

Turquoise is the birthstone for the month of December, which is just right around the corner! These four Etsy shops all have items to honor those Sagittarians born in this month.  

 Absolutely Kismet has a gorgeous turquoise beaded bracelet!  Turquoise was a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures.  It was mined over 6000 years ago in Sinai. The ancient Egyptions used the stone in jewelry.  It is believed to give the owner strength, protect him/her from harm, and give the wearer a connection to the spirit world.

BESTeam Feature - The Old & The New

Time for another BESTeam feature!  This week's theme is the old & the new; starring three of the "older" members  - not old in age but those who have been with our team longer and one of our newest members. Joyflower recently joined our team. Her etsy shop has a variety of beautiful hand painted silk, which are truly works of art!  She finds her inspiration from the seasonal trends and fashion.  Living in the Pacific Northwest keeps her creativity flowing.
